National Night Out
This annual event builds partnership with the community and Fitchburg Police Department and creates neighborhood camaraderie. Held every first Tuesday in August, it offers a resource fair and family-friendly festival. Approximately 50 volunteers and Stewards and 400 community members participate. This event is part of the National Night Out network.

Trick or Treat on Main Street
NewVue Communities, the City of Fitchburg’s In Town Project and numerous community organizations team up to put on this highly anticipated annual Halloween celebration. Small local businesses are well-represented, lining the sidewalks of Main Street to give out candy and prizes in a safe, fun, free celebration – open to all. Approximately 4,000 people from Fitchburg and neighboring cities and towns attend this gathering of goblins, princesses, and dinosaurs.
